MAIN DESCRIPTION

ACS Hacks is Assumption College Catholic High School’s first student-run hackathon. This one-day, in-person event brings students together to learn new skills, work in teams, and build creative technology projects.

The event is designed to be beginner-friendly and welcoming. Whether you have coding experience or are joining your first hackathon, ACS Hacks is a place to explore programming, design, innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving in a supportive environment.

Our goal is to make technology more accessible at Assumption and help students gain hands-on experience by building real projects and presenting their ideas to judges by the end of the event.

Event Date: June 10, 2026
Event Time: 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Location: Assumption College Catholic High School, Windsor, Ontario
Format: In-person
Eligibility: Assumption College Catholic High School students only

Requirements

WHAT YOU CAN BUILD

Participants can build almost any school-appropriate technology project. Your project does not have to be perfect or fully finished — the goal is to learn, create, and show what you built during the hackathon.

Project ideas include:

  • Websites

  • Apps

  • Games

  • AI tools

  • Productivity tools

  • Educational tools

  • Design prototypes

  • Hardware projects

  • Creative technology projects

Projects should be started during ACS Hacks. Students may brainstorm ideas before the event, but the main building should happen during the hackathon.

You may use libraries, APIs, frameworks, tutorials, starter templates, AI tools, and open-source resources, but your team should be ready to explain what you built yourselves.
